The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the nationwide recall of
Veggie Booty Snack Food because of possible bacterial contamination. Robert's American Gourmet Food Inc. of Sea Cliff, N.Y., initiated the recall because the food might be contaminated with
salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
